1Educational Purpose
Dutch From Zero is provided for language learning and educational practice.
2Use of the Website
- Use the content lawfully and respectfully.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, misuse, or reverse engineer the site.
- Do not use automated abuse or scraping that harms availability.
3Accounts
An account is optional and free. Everything on this site works without one.
- Give an email address you actually control. If you cannot receive mail at it, you will not be able to recover the account, and we cannot recover it for you.
- Your account is yours alone. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts automatically or in bulk.
- You can delete your account at any moment from your account page. It is immediate and permanent.
- We may suspend or remove an account that is being used to attack the site, to send unwanted mail through it, or otherwise to cause harm. Where it is possible and sensible to do so, we will say why.
- This is a free site run by one person. We cannot promise the service will always be available, and we may stop offering accounts — with reasonable notice, and without taking the lessons down.
4Plans and Payment
The course is free. All 18 lessons, every exercise and all the audio cost nothing, with or without a paid plan, and that is not going to change.
- A Plus plan is a monthly subscription. The price is shown on the pricing page before you pay, and it renews each month until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-months.
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI practice messages, shown on the pricing page and on your account. The allowance resets at the start of each calendar month and does not roll over.
- If a payment fails, the plan drops to free limits until payment succeeds. Nothing is deleted.
- If we change a price, existing subscribers are told in advance and the change applies from the following renewal, never retroactively.
Your right to withdraw. As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Digital services are an exception when you ask for them to start immediately: at checkout you are asked to confirm that you want access straight away and that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal once practice begins. If you would rather keep the 14 days, do not tick that box — and do not use AI practice — then contact us within 14 days for a refund.
No payment provider is connected yet and no payment can currently be taken. These terms describe how a subscription will work; the provider will be named here before anything is charged.
5AI Practice
AI conversation practice is a language exercise, not a person and not a teacher. It is generated by a machine and it will sometimes be wrong — about grammar, about vocabulary, about anything. The lesson pages are the reference; the AI is for getting your sentences moving.
- Use it for practising Dutch. Please do not use it as a general-purpose assistant, to generate content unrelated to the course, or to try to make it behave outside its purpose.
- Do not put personal, financial or sensitive information into a conversation. Your messages are stored and sent to an external provider — see section 4 of the privacy policy.
- Nothing it says is advice of any kind. It is a beginner language drill.
- Automated or bulk use, or attempts to work around the monthly allowance, may end the account.
6Content and Accuracy
We do our best to keep the grammar and exercises accurate, but content is provided "as is" and may contain mistakes.
7Third-Party Services
This site may include third-party links or services (for example, Google services or external profile links). Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
8Liability
To the extent allowed by law, the site owner is not liable for indirect or consequential damages resulting from use of this website.
9Changes
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use means acceptance of the latest version.
